Saint Valentine's Day Spearfishing Tournament Miamibluediving invites you to participate in the San Valentine’s day Spearfishing Tournament , that will take place in the water of Miami february 27 / 2010 (Tomorrow). Will be on Miami waters. Saturday 20 will be the original competition of Free Immersion vs Time in two categories , 45 and 75 feet . The athletes will do 5 inmersions vs time. We apriciate your participation.
Timeable ......................... From 7am to 1pm (6 hours from the beginning)
Place of departure ............ Crandon Park Marina
Fishing Area ..................... From Government Cut to Wistle Buoy
Time of the Contest ......... 7 hours , since the departure to the returning to the weighing place. Athletes who do not respect this time table,
will be put out of the competition.
Participants ..................... The athletes will be evaluated in pair, no individually.
Evaluation ....................... 1 point for each piece and 1 point per pound.
Measure of the Fishes ....... The legally permitted.
Mutilated Fishes are not allowed.
Maximum Weight ............. each piece will be valuated 20 points , even it exceeds 20 pounds
Limit of captures ............. 12 units per couple.
The weighing will be done immediately after the competition
It is forbidden to give captures to other couples. If some athlete does it, he/ she will be put out of the contest. All participants depend on their own boats.
Tanks are not allowed. The athletes are responsible for all the security measures for this contest. The Boats Captains have to respect all the security measures in their ships.
Athletes will sign a release in case of accident.
Athletes need an update Fishing Licence.
Different prizes and rewards will be granted. Trophies for the three best classified and medals and T-shirts with the Miamibluediving Logo for all the participants in this event. The sponsors will give Special Prizes (equipments) from first to third positions. The ceremony will take place immediately after the end of both competition.
Inscription will cost $120.00 per couple. Valid for both competition.
